Does my parent need a Tesla?
Hearthguard is built around Tesla Fleet Telemetry for households where an aging parent still drives a Tesla. The elder iPhone app covers gaps when they're on foot. If your family doesn't have a Tesla, this may not be the right fit today — contact us and we'll be honest about what we can offer.
Will my parent feel like they're being spied on?
Hearthguard is consent-based. The elder installs the iPhone app and chooses location sharing. The goal is independence with a safety net — not surveillance. You configure what alerts fire and can pause home monitoring during visits or hospital stays.
How is this different from Life360 or a medical alert button?
Phone trackers show a dot. Pendants wait for your parent to press a button. Hearthguard fuses vehicle telemetry, phone location, smart-home activity, clinical data, and SAR-grade search tooling into one operations console — so you see context, not just coordinates.
What do I need to get started?
A Tesla account linked to the vehicle, an iPhone for your loved one, and at least one caregiver with a web browser. Premium optionally connects Ring, SmartThings, Govee, Hue, or Nest. Most households are live within an afternoon.
Can Hearthguard control my smart home during an emergency?
Yes — on Premium. Safety automation runs when SOS or a fall is detected: porch lights pulse, locks engage, and caregivers are notified automatically. Advanced Options lets you build custom sequences on any trigger, without IFTTT.
Is Hearthguard a medical device or replacement for 911?
No. Hearthguard is a caregiver support tool. Always call 911 in an emergency. We help families coordinate faster with better context — we do not dispatch emergency services.
Why does the site say you're in beta?
